Team Long Beach is hosting our First Annual “Ride n Lunch” on Saturday, April 7!

This ride will feature a challenging 59-mile fully supported Ride followed by a delicious lunch at one of our favorite sponsors, Paradise Piano Bar!

The day will begin at Bixby Park (Ocean Ave between Junipero and Cherry Streets), and will include some of the best scenery that Long Beach and the surrounding areas have to offer.... oh, and don't forget some HILLS! The route will take us across Signal Hill and then out to Whittier to climb Turnbull Canyon before looping back down the San Gabriel River trail to Long Beach.

If you are an experienced rider who is comfortable with 40-50 mile rides, you are going to REALLY enjoy this ride! If you are training with Team Long Beach, this ride is in following with the Periodization Training Schedule for AIDS/LifeCycle, but ALL riders are welcome whether or not you are training for AIDS/LifeCycle or with Team Long Beach. You MUST REGISTER for this ride via EventBright, please note you can only purchase one ticket at a time as each person must agree to the liability waiver. Be sure to sign up early, as space is limited! The registration fee is $35 (plus EventBrite fee), which includes a scrumptious special menu at Paradise. You may choose from the food options below, which are listed in the individual tickets:

• Burger with Fries
• Fresh Garden Salad with Chicken and choice of dressing
• Vegetarian Grilled Panini with Fries

All meals INCLUDE beverage (Iced Tea, Lemonade or Soda), Tax, and Gratuity.

**Take advantage of the Ultimate Luxury while you dine by having your bicycle treated to a loving bath for only $20! Your bike's "spa treatment" will include a thorough but gentle scrubbing of the body and wheels/tires, chain cleaning and lubrication.  Proceeds from the bike wash will benefit AIDS/LifeCycle and Team Long Beach.

Please note that this is an OFFICIAL ALC training ride. We will be abiding by all traffic laws, and by all ALC rules. You MUST be present and be ready-to-roll BEFORE the last safety speech in order to Ride. Riders not present at the safety speech in ready-to-roll condition will not be provided route slips and will not be considered official participants of the ride. Refunds will not be provided.

This is a fully supported ride with sweep vehicles and food stops. It is imperative and a requirement that each rider also bring along the standard following items:

• Bike
• Helmet
• Spare tire tubes
• Pump or CO2 Cartridges
• Water bottles (1 with water and another with your favorite electrolyte replacement drink) or camel back
• Sustenance (just in case) - food is supplied at all rest stops, however should you need something between rest stops please always have something on you (Gu or Blocks etc.)

Ridership is limited, and this event will most likely sell out, so get your tickets early!
